Agricultural products, fertilizers, insecticides, pest controls, irrigation equiptment, etc.

We are a family owned business, that has been on the works for more then 5 generations. We have been involved in agriculture for many years, during this time we developed the most commercial variety of peach in Guatemala and Central America, the Salcaja variety. We introduced asparagus production to the country in the early 70's. In the early 90's we started a small organic fertilizer production, and during the 2000's we got involved in real state.  

We are located in Quetzaltenango, a key strategical location in the central west end, high lands of Guatemala. We have access to the most productive regions of the country, the southern coast, the high lands, and very good contacts on the northern region.

I am interested in importing Israeli agricultural products to Guatemala, fertilizers, insecticides, pest controls, irrigation equiptment, and any other products that could be important to produce high quality produce.

Guatemala is a large agricultural producer in the area, we produce coffee, sugar, palm seed oil, rubber, fruits and vegetables. I have been involved in agriculture all my life, and I have always heard of the great technology and development in agriculture that Isreal has, but to my surprise we have very few Israeli products being sold in Guatemala. I am aware many irrigation products, like water lines, hoses, sprincklers and other accessories are sold, but very few fertilizers, pest and weed control products and many other products that are needed for a high quality farming, including products that are EPA approved. Guatemala exports very large amounts of agriculture produce to the United States and europe, and i know they would increase more, using better products then the ones we have access to right now.  I am interested in importing to Guatemala high quality products produced in Israel. I live in a key location of Guatemala and would have access to destribute and retail Israeli products to more then 70% of the country.

We are also trying to develop a property which would also include the warehouse to distribute the Israeli agricultural products. We have been in contact with USAID, who are also very interested in developing this area to generate new sources of industrial development, in order to generate more jobs for the region, and stop the ilegal inmigration to the United States. We have talked about duty free zones or similar endeavors, that could also be interesting to Israeli industries that could be interested in producing products in central America, key location and partnership with the United states.
