Who we are? We are a family company established in 2008 in the capital city of Bulgaria - Sofia. The main philosophy of the company is sourcing and roasting of exceptional and specialty coffees from around the coffee world. Our highest goal is to make people happy and to prolong their lives with everyday cup of exceptional coffees. From other side we improve the quality of life of those farmers who are enough motivated and who are able to produce specialty coffees working directly with them, control the coffee at the farm and pay them fair and a lot higher prices than they will receive from the other local buyers, cooperatives or stock players.
How do we select the perfect unroasted beans? To select the green beans is a complex task. Our founder Jordan Dabov is an international jury member of Cup of Excellence – the only coffee competition in the world that selects finest among coffees in a certain region. The experience of being a cupper at this highest level gives Jordan Dabov the opportunity to select amazing coffees and to meet exceptional farmers who care about the quality in the cup. The best green beans are not available on the market, as the best coffees go to Japan, South Korea, USA and the Scandinavian countries.
Because we have great relationship with some of the best farmers worldwide, we can quarantee:.
1. Direct Sourcing. Our aim is to source directly first class coffees from around the world. Jordan Dabov has the opportunity to know and work with the best farmers in the world.
2. Fair payment.
We believe that the most of the efforts to obtain an excellent cup of coffee belong to the farmers, as they care about the raw coffee beans. Therefore we are happy to pay higher price for better coffee. We believe financial motivation for people whose wellbeing depends on coffee production is what drives them to care more and more in order to achieve more special coffees every year, this is to hand pick, to select up to four times, to process properly, to avoid humidity during drying or just to care more…
How we do it… Our facility and team. We have our own factory and warehouse, situated in the suburbs of Sofia, built on 280 square meters with an additional 1000 square meters yard. Our warehouse is situated on 200 square meters. The storage capacity is 3000 bags of 60 kg. Our roasting facility is on 80 square meters. We use a 2016 model Probatone with upmost roasting technology. Our team is of 12 people and we have a two shifts working day. We pack by hand on the day of roasting. Private mark If your demand is for specialty coffee with your own trade mark, we can do it. What we offer to you is to source, roast and pack your private mark coffee. Our MOQ are as small as the capacity of the roaster machine – 10 kg raw coffee – 8 kg of roasted coffee. Your design + your roast profile = your private mark coffee Our coffee selection. The only one competition for highest quality coffees in the world is held every year in coffee producing countries and the jury selects among best of the best coffees. Jordan Dabov is an international jury member and every year travels to origin to select the perfect coffee. Thanks to his participation in CoE in 2015 we had the chance to buy one lot from Costa Rica, finca Dona Illeana – a great organic coffee. In 2016 we bought the best coffee in Guatemala and 2nd best in the world – from Cerezo Pompeyo’s farm Kalibus La Sierra. The coffee is gesha, washed processing, great taste. Project Origin coffees. We have entered the project of Sasa Sestic (the 2015 World Barista Champion) two years ago. The Project Origin aims to bring some of the best coffees in some coffee producing countries to the coffee drinking world. Project Origin is a part of two great local competitions – Best of El Salvador and Best of Panama that are held every year and chose among best coffees in these regions. Ninety Plus coffees. These exceptional coffees are grown in Panama and Ethiopia. Joseph Brodsky – the owner of the two plantations has one aim – to produce the best quality in the world and by this moment he succeeds. Almost every Barista Champion in different category (Barista, Brewing, etc) wins using a Ninety Plus coffee. Origin coffees Guatemala. We have an excellent partnership with some great Guatemalan farmers – Paul Starry and Renardo Ovalle among others. Their coffees have won CoE in the past years and the quality in the farm is proven. El Salvador. We have an excellent partnership with Gilberto Baraona – one of the best farmers worldwide. His coffee won 5th place on CoE 2012. Ethiopia. We have excellent partnership with the farm of Heleana Georgialis, who produces really excellent African coffees.
