Established in 1970, we are a holding and operating company that develops and manufactures telecommunications equipment for high reliability, critical service applications including communications protection for high voltage environments and SONET fiber optic transmission equipment. Our engineers and manufactures high voltage isolation products to protect telecommunications circuits entering substations, power generating plants, and any high voltage area that is susceptible to the effects of Ground Potential Rise (GPR). For over 40 years, our company has been the market leader in providing high quality, reliable wireline isolation equipment that meets the highest industry standards. Worldwide, there are more our company's isolator circuits deployed than any other vendor. With the availability of the TeleLite product line (a fiber optics based isolation/protection solution), we became the first and only equipment vendor in the market to offer a complete line of copper (Teleline) and fiber based (TeleLite) high-voltage isolation/protection solutions.
Positron manufactures carrier-class bonded copper solutions that enable carriers to deploy Ethernet and DS3 services faster while obtaining fiber-like bandwidth on a copper budget. Positron also produces carrier-class metro optical transmission equipment for SONET/SDH and packet-based networks as well as Ethernet-over-copper solutions. Its products are used in applications including Metro-area Ethernet and transport networks where they provide access, edge traffic aggregation, wireless and triple-play backhaul, and thin-route access transport.
Positron Telecommunications Systems (PTS) develops and markets high reliability VoIP equipment for SMB and enterprise communication. PTS products integrate VoIP and traditional telephony in stand-alone systems that combine ease of use with powerful functionality. Its new generation IP PBX systems are video enabled and include integrated firewall ‘anti-hacking’, unlimited extensions (no license fees), auto-provisioning, wizard configuration tools, remote diagnostics and configuration and unlimited IVR’s.
