The company was established in June 2014. In August ofthe same year, Ministry of Science and Technology of Taiwan granted the company the use of a standard manufacturing facility in Southern Taiwan Medical Device Indus¬try Cluster. In collaboration with Animal Technology Laboratories (ATL) of Agri-cultural Technology Research Institute (ATRI), the company aims to develop medical-grade regenerative biomaterials derived from specific pathogen free (SPF) pigs. The company draws on the best and the brightest of major science and technology research institutes and biomedical research centers in Taiwan. Its shareholders include major corporate partners, seasoned biotechnology and chemical engineering companies of Taiwan, professors of major teaching and research institutes, and renowned medical doctors. The biomaterials in devel-opment will be used for tissue repairs in areas such as orthopedics, dentistry, cardiovascular grafts, ophthalmology, surgeries, wound repairs, sports injuries, and etc. To this end, with R and D as its core, the company is committed to long-term development of innovative products. Using the most environmentally friendly and cleanest technologies, the company aims to develop a series of biomaterials for tissue and organ repairs as well as the next generation of regenerative medical products, which will combine drugs, peptides, growth fac¬tors, biologies, and even human stem cells with biomaterial scaffolds to further enhance organ and tissue repairs, ultimately improving healthcare and quality of life.
