A Cypriot award-winning company, which was established in 1953, is focusing on the production of high-quality olive products.
The company owns an area of 50 hectares with 9000 olive trees, growing organically. Soil is not cultivated, remaining undisturbed to allow the enhancement of micro-organisms in the soil as well as the tree roots. The trees are carefully managed to establish maximum growth and healthy, productive olive trees. Aim of the company is the production of high-quality organic olive oil with increased polyphenol content. To achieve this, the company has established its own organic olive orchard, where harvesting, milling, bottling of olive oil is done in the premises.
The production begins at the field site where different olive tree varieties are grown under organic cultivation practices. The fruits are harvested in optimum maturity, they are harvested and milled using cold pressing process within a few hours to restrict exposure of olive oil on the different degrading factors, and to assure optimum quality of the olive oil. Storage and packing facilities are also found at the site.
Through the years, the company’s olive oils have been awarded for their quality and their high polyphenolic content.
They produce different kinds (varieties, handling, packing) of table olives and organic extra virgin olive oils.
• Organic extra virgin olive oil in tins (500ml, 1Ltr, 2Ltr) and in glass bottles (500ml).
• Organic olive oil with lemon and orange aroma in glass bottles (250ml) and high phenolic-organic extra virgin olive oil in glass bottles (250ml).
• Infused oils in glass bottles of 100ml with different herbs and fruits infused into organic extra virgin olive oil. They include organic basil, rosemary, oregano, chili, mint, and garlic.
It is worth noted that the high phenolic organic extra virgin olive oil is identified by the Health Claim (Commission Regulation (EU) 432/2012) and is associated to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) recognizing olive oil polyphenols, including the compounds oleocanthal and oleacein, as having inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties.
