The Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce hosts the annual Diplomatic Forum

The Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce's (FICC) annual diplomatic forum was held on February 5th at the Carlton hotel, Tel-Aviv. The forum was attended by over 60 economic and commercial counselors from countries all over the world. This forum is a significant event, part of the international division's constant activity to strengthen international economic relations.

Mr.  Uriel Lynn, President of the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce welcomed the guests and presented an overview of achievements of the Israeli economy during the last decade, however, he also stated that now is the time to examine how the Israeli economy would look like in five years and what national resources will be available at the end of this period. 

Mr. Amir Shani, Chairman of the International Forwarder Association, introduced the role of the customs agent and international freight forwarder in Israel and their growing importance in international trade. 

Mr. Doron Arbeli, Director General of the Tax Authority in the Ministry of Finance presented the characteristics and role of the Customs Authority in Israel. (The complete presentation can be found in the attached file).

Mr. Arie Zief, Vice President, Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce and Chairman of the International Committee, summarized the event and called for promoting the cooperation with Israel. Furthermore, he invited all international representatives to enhance the business relationship with the FICC.
