An Israeli technology company has developed an IoT solution that transforms existing fire hydrants into smart, connected infrastructure without replacing or structurally modifying them.
The solution provides real-time monitoring of hydrant use and condition, including locked/unlocked status, valve movement, flow activity and duration, reverse-flow indications, potential leakage or valve malfunction, GPS location, device availability and battery condition. Its indirect sensing technology operates without placing sensors in the water path, while mechanical hydrant operation remains independent of power, communications and cyber systems.
The platform is designed to improve water security, detect abnormal activity and non-revenue water, support maintenance and asset management, and provide operational visibility to control rooms. It can also integrate with existing LoRaWAN infrastructure.
The company is looking for strategic partners and investors to support international commercialization, with potential cooperation including licensing and regional commercialization rights.
Potential partners include water utilities, smart-city operators, LoRaWAN network operators, water-security companies, property and facility management companies, and fire and rescue organizations.
