The President of FICC joins ICC International climate pact

Israeli Chamber of Commerce joins international climate action pact aimed at creating cleaner, more resilient economies across the world.

The President of FICC signed an international agreement calling for bold action to curb the effects of climate change, in order to create cleaner, more resilient economies worldwide. "The Israeli business sector shares the global concern regarding global warming and its impact on nature, society and the economy, for the good of future generations,” Attorney Uriel Lynn, President of the FICC, said.
More than 500 international chambers of commerce joined the initiative, which was established by the Icc at the request of UN Secretary-General,Antonio Guterres, ahead of the UN climate summit to be held in September. “Climate action is everyone’s business, and the Chambers Climate Coalition is ready to take bold action,” he said in a statement.
As part of the initiative, the FICC committed to strengthen its efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, to promote policy and regulatory measures aimed at lessening Israel’s ecological footprint, and to support the goal of achieving net-zero emissions globally by 2050.
