Registration of grower(s) and phytosanitary inspections by KEPHIS
Packing house requirements
Inspection/audit by KEPHIS as stipulated in the agreement
Post-harvest treatments – Decrowning and Methyl Bromide fumigation as stipulated. Fumigation chamber identified by client and audited by KEPHIS. Commercial fumigator identified by client/exporter and should be registered fumigator, audited and approved by KEPHIS.
The client/exporter should source the Methyl bromide. Get advice from NEMA (National Environment Management Authority) Pre-shipment inspection – conducted by KEPHIS

Note: Import Permit from PPIS (Israel) is required.

TERMS OF OFFER:

GOODS DESCRIPTION: Pineapple, Smooth cayenne MD2 Variety, Kenyan Origin

QUANTITY: As per order minimum 1000 pieces or 1 tone per week to start with, decrowned as per specification in the bilateral agreement between Israel and Kenya.

PRICE: 1.7 USD/kg Price per carton calculated on weight basis.

PACKAGING: Size 5 and 6 (900-1400 g) Packed in Cartons, 50 cartons on PLATE, Each carton has 12 pcs in a carton.

FUMIGATION: Fumigation should be done as per the bilateral agreement between Kenya and Israel and licensed by the respective Government Authority SHIPPING PERIOD: 24hrs-36hrs depending on airline agreed on between the two parties.

SHIPPING SCHEDULE: First shipment within 2 weeks and the continuation of the engagement in a similar manner on the basis of agreed schedule.

PAYMENT: Electronic Bank transfer on verification of quality before shipment

INCOTERMS: FOB the buyer will cater for all the logistics costs (Clearing and forwarding), shipping, insurance up to Port, in Israel.

QUALITY CHECK: The buyer will appoint an agent to check quality at JKIA.
