Obi is a robotic dining companion that delivers independence and dignity to individuals who cannot feed themselves.
Every day, millions of people must be fed by caregivers, and they find the experience to be conspicuous and frustrating. Individuals with conditions including amputation, ALS, Arthrogryposis, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Spinal Injury, and Stroke can regain the ability to feed themselves with Obi.
Obi significantly benefits disabled individuals as well as caregivers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and hospitals.
We have learned that Obi sells best when it is placed in front of a disabled person and they are allowed to operate it. We are looking for distributors who would be well positioned to sell Obi in various markets. Specifically, we are looking for distributors who meet the following requirements:
- Major participant in Rehabilitation market
- Possesses a large on-the-ground sales force as opposed to just websites and catalogs
- Sells to Occupational Therapists or related disciplines
- Maintains relationships with Clinics, Nursing Homes, Hospital and Assisted Living facilities.
- Regularly attends events and shows to demonstrate products directly to the disabled or OTs
- Sells to both the home market and the institutional market (hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, etc.)
- Must be trustworthy and easy to work.
- Must be financially stable.
• Must be capable of mounting an aggressive sales and marketing effort around ObI.
Obi is registered with the FDA in the US as a Class I medical device, is certified for safety by UL (Underwriters Laboratory Std. 1431) and holds 10 US Patents so far. In the European Union, Obi is CE compliant and is currently being distributed in Europe.
