Experimental R&D works on vitrificate
Research and Innovation Centre Pro-Akademia was founded and started activity on the 22nd April 1996. Today, we are one of leading research institutions in Poland that render assistance in the processes of industrial research, education and sustainable development in Poland. One of the most important advantages of our projects is engaging a lot of different actors — administration, both at national and local level, NGOs, entrepreneurs, high schools and the media.
Since its establishment Pro-Akademia has successfully implemented over 200 research and advisory projects for industry (SMEs in particular), EU institutions, as well as Polish local and central authorities. Pro-Akademia satisfies the requirements of ISO 9001 standard pertaining to provision of innovation services. Pro-Akademia’s recent achievements include:
- ranked as the 2nd most effective Polish research organisation among all 963 Polish research organisations in terms of material effects of research activity in the last evaluation of research organisations by Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education (2013)
- awarded the title of Poland's Leader of Innovation and Regional Development in the national competition under auspices of European Commission (2013)
- ranked by the National Contact Point as the 4th most successful Polish research institution in H2020 (2015)
- nominated by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (government agency) to select winners of the national competition for R&D centres and enterprises Polish Products of the Future (2015).
In 2014 thanks to EU funding under European Regional Development Fund, Pro-Akademia opened its RES Technology Transfer Centre, which greatly broadened the scope of research and innovation services offered by the company. Currently, 8 laboratories with state-of-the-art research equipment provide enterprises, local authorities and research organisations with tailor-made research and innovation services. The scope of these services is wide, covering the whole value chain of new technology development, technology transfer and commercialisation, competence building as well as innovation and energy policy guidance.
