The City of Nis who’s the owner of Business Incubator Center, wishes
to engage with foreign partner (investor) in joint venture or PPP
projects wherein Business Incubator Center would implement it.
The Incubator Center was established in 2005. The purpose of the
establishment and operation of Incubator center, and therefore the
start- up entrepreneurs gathered in it, is the implementation of
development strategies and support to entrepreneurs and SMEs at the
beginning of their business, as well as providing the necessary
conditions and resources for their smooth operation (physical,
financial and intellectual). The main objective of the establishment
and functioning of the IC is contribution to the development of
commercial activities, transfer of knowledge, the adoption of modern
technological assets, the development of innovation, education of
professionals and their use into operation directed to the
development of entrepreneurial concepts.
Mission of IC is to help small and medium enterprises through the
provision of office space, provision of business and other services
at the most critical stages of the development of companies and thus
increase employment allowing them to become a respectable driver of
economic development in the region of Nis.
Incubator centre holds business space of 2.500 square meters and it
is enough space for increasing business capacities and start new
business. So, because IC has completely equipped training room for
100 persons (unique space can be separated at 3 different spaces if
it is necessary), we plan to intensify different trainings for
unemployed women.
Incubator centre has support from local government. Among other
things, the IC is networked with local government - through the
common internet connections, telephone networks, professional
support, etc.
The IC is currently employing 4 people: two doctors of economic
sciences, and two people with secondary education. In addition, the
IC has a team of external consultants - experts who are hired on as
needed basis by IC.
