Medical Equipment: Mobile Arthrometer
Seeking an Exclusive Agent in Israel
The Pennsylvania company will be in Israel from 13–17 November to identify an exclusive agent for their Mobil-Aider arthrometer.
They will be holding meetings at the 65 Hotel, Rothschild Blvd. Tel Aviv and would like to meet with qualified Israeli physical therapy and medical device agents to enter the market.
The company's Mobile-Aider is an FDA-cleared Class I arthrometer. The Mobil-Aider is lightweight (<370g; <13 oz), portability, and was designed with 7 custom interchangeable attachments for the knee, ankle, shoulder, elbow and wrist. The Mobil-Aider measures joint laxity/mobility in millimeters of translation. By aligning the Mobil-Aider axis with the joint line, the proximal side of the joint/device is stabilized while the distal side is translated. The measurement is revealed via a Light Emitting Diode (LED) display.
The device has two settings: Mode A and Mode B. In the A mode, the maximal linear translation reading is held for 3 seconds to allow adequate time for reading. The B mode is a real-time assessment to quantify the specific location in the continuum of any given motion.
The Mobil-Aider has been rigorously tested to show reliability and validity. Reliability and concurrent validity were also demonstrated through several bench studies that compared the Mobil-Aider measurements to the Zeiss Smartzoom readout as the gold standard. The Mobil-Aider has demonstrated the ability to accurately identify small magnitudes of joint translation when compared to the Ascension electromagnetic motion analysis device. The device was also shown to have excellent intra-rater reliability among clinicians when assessing the glenohumeral and radiocarpal joints.
