Our company was founded and run by Dr. Sandhya Sriram (CEO) and Dr. Ka Yi Ling (CTO) who have over 20 years’ combined experience in the muscle, fat biology and stem cell biology fields. Sandhya also has previous start-up experience and also in the business development of research products. The rest of the team comprises highly skilled and experienced scientists and engineers.

The company stands out from other cell-based meat production companies because of its proprietary technology that isolates stem cells from shrimp, lobster, and crab—they are the first company to be able to do this for cell-based production. Once the stem cells are harvested, the shrimp, lobster, and crab meats are grown in nutrient-rich conditions, similar to that of a greenhouse. After four-to-six weeks, the cell-based seafood is the same as its conventional counterpart but more sustainable, clean, and nutritious. Our patent-pending technology can grow crustaceans four times faster than conventional production.

The company employs cellular aquaculture and agriculture for the production of its meat. Our mission is to bring delicious and healthy crustacean meat by harvesting from cells instead of animals. Our meats are animal-friendly, health-friendly, and environment-friendly with the same taste, same texture, more nutrients, and no cruelty.

Our patent-pending technology can create meats that are four times faster, health-friendly, free from antibiotics, and hormones. We use stem cells from live shrimp, crab, lobster and grow them in nutrient-rich conditions, similar to a greenhouse, and at the end of 4-6 weeks, we get meat that is the same as conventional meat but our meats are sustainable, clean and nutritious.
