Since its creation in 2001, this Colombian company, with effort, planning, and projection has gone ahead, and today it has 380 families of smallholder associated producers, located on the northwestern side of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, in the municipalities of Santa Marta, Ciénaga, Aracataca and Fundación.

The commitment of 380 families is to produce certified organic and fair trade coffee in the national and international market, with this, the families will have a better income, in order to finance investments in:

a. improvement in productivity,

b. environmental management,

c. quality of the processing in the farms, and

d. the contributions of funds for social investment, education and social marketing. With fair and better incomes, families perceive and feel the benefits of being associated; and have the willingness of passing their coffee-culture on to their children: the future generations. 

This company promotes human and commercial relationships, which are framed in equity and fair connections between smallholder producers and consumers in foreign markets. It is with consumers, people (coffee, and honey lovers) that company has grown, and it is with the customers’ coffee-culture and honey-culture that, year after year, it has learn to harvest the coffee and honey that best suits the business needs of the customers. The  has grown hand in hand with its American, Canadian, French, Dutch, English, German, Danish, Austrian, Swedish, and Australian customers. 

The association has been able to: access new markets abroad, and interact directly with buyers and roasters. 

In September 2018, the company welcomed its first visitors on its farms, seeing community-based agro-eco-tourism as a new source of income, through activities in rural areas of the farms. It should be noted that the host producing families were victims of the armed conflict, and now see community tourism as:

1. an opportunity for growth and improvement of their quality of life;

2. a way of promoting peace, and social justice in the region.
